My Cosplanner

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 26 July 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do with My Cosplanner (the "Service"). It applies to everything you create, upload, or share through the Service and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to follow this policy.

We may update this policy as the Service grows. If we make material changes we will revise the "last updated" date above.

1. Content you upload

The Service lets you attach files to your cosplans — for example PDF sewing patterns, 3D-print models (STL/OBJ), embroidery files, and images. You are responsible for everything you upload and for making sure you have the right to upload it.

Only upload files you own or are licensed to use. Many cosplay patterns, 3D models, and embroidery files are commercial, copyrighted works sold under a personal-use licence. Uploading such a file does not give anyone else the right to use it, and sharing it beyond what your licence allows is not permitted.

2. Respect intellectual property

Do not upload, store, or share content that infringes anyone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights. This includes redistributing paid patterns or models you do not have the right to share, and passing off someone else’s work as your own.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, you can report it through our takedown process. See our DMCA / Takedown page for how to send a notice.

3. Prohibited content

Do not upload or create content that is illegal, or that is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, or that depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation of minors.

Do not upload malware, viruses, or files designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any system, and do not use the Service to store or distribute such material.

Do not upload content that violates the privacy of others, such as another person’s private or identifying information shared without their consent.

4. Prohibited conduct

Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or the underlying systems, and do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without permission.

Do not disrupt the Service or the experience of other users — for example by overloading, flooding, spamming, or scraping the Service — and do not circumvent any access, rate, or storage limits.

Do not misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, or use the Service to deceive or defraud.

5. File types, size, and storage

We may limit the types and sizes of files you can upload, and the total storage available to your account, and we may change those limits over time. Do not attempt to bypass these limits or use the Service primarily as a general-purpose file host or backup service.

We may scan uploads for malware and other safety signals and may block or remove files that fail those checks.

6. Enforcement

If you violate this policy we may remove or disable access to the offending content, and we may warn, suspend, or terminate your account, with or without notice, depending on the severity. We may also remove content in response to a valid takedown notice.

Because we keep a soft-delete tombstone for synced data, removed content stops being accessible but a record of its removal may persist for operational and legal purposes.
