Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.

We provide sign-in through email magic links and social providers; you are responsible for maintaining access to the email or accounts you use to sign in.

2. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service or other users.

You are responsible for the content you create and for ensuring you have the rights to any material (including Pinterest references and files you upload, such as patterns, 3D models, and images) that you bring into your cosplans. Many cosplay patterns and models are copyrighted and licensed for personal use only; only upload files you own or are licensed to use.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create and the files you upload to the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, display, and sync that content so we can provide the Service to you.

You can delete your content or your account at any time from your settings. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or in response to a valid takedown notice. See our DMCA / Takedown page.

4. Third-party services

The Service relies on and integrates with third parties, including Supabase (accounts and data), Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error monitoring), Patreon (membership and payments), and, optionally, Pinterest, Google, and Discord. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the respective provider’s terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Supporter memberships and any payments are handled by Patreon under Patreon’s own terms; we do not process or store your payment card details.

5. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the Service, at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Cosplanner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
